TED Mobile – Inspiring Talks about Education

This week, I downloaded the TED Mobile app.   I searched “education” receiving multiple TED talk results featuring education in some capacity.  I selected and watched two.  There is nothing more inspirational than hearing from individuals making a difference and having significant impact in education all over the world.

Kakenya Ntaiay from Kenya is the first talk I listened to. Kakenya overcame oppression of women in her country and in turn opened up  a school for girls. Her school provides girls support, education, and opportunity; protecting them oppression and Maasai rights of passage for girls.   All of this came to be because of a dream she had as a little girl.   In her dream she was a teacher.  Her story is a powerful one and worth a watch.
